Four people are injured as the result of an apparently alcohol-related crash two miles east of Buhl.

According to the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, a green Ford F150 truck driven by Salvador Jiminez-Lomeli, 23, of Jerome, ran a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and 1700 East Road shortly before 2 a.m. Monday and crashed into two railroad cars. Jiminez-Lomeli was transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center with minor injures.

He then took a trip to Twin Falls County Jail, as deputies believe he was driving under the influence of alcohol. A blood draw was performed at the hospital. Results of his blood-alcohol concentration are pending. Jiminez-Lomeli is held on $25,000 bond and a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 18.

Passengers Edgar Diaz-Perez, 21, and Edgar Martinez-Jaurequi, 22, both of Jerome, were taken to St. Luke’s. Carlos Martinez, age unknown, went to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise via air ambulance with serious injuries.
