Idaho Man Sentenced In Child Rape Case UPDATE
Eastern Idaho man sentenced in child rape case
- The Associated Press
Edition Date: 11/25/08
ST. ANTHONY, Idaho — An eastern Idaho man convicted of raping and impregnating his girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter has been ordered to spend at least five years in prison.
Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, 38, was sentenced to five years to life in prison Tuesday in 7th District Court.
He pleaded guilty in September to felony rape as part of a plea agreement.
He was arrested in April after the girl gave birth by a Caesarean section at Madison Memorial Hospital, setting off an investigation by police.
The girl's mother has also been convicted and sentenced in the case. Last month, Isabel Chasearez was sentenced to between one and 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to felony injury to a child for failing to provide proper prenatal care for her daughter.
Investigators say the girl became pregnant at age nine, sometime between August and September 2007.

Do you notice that even though it's been determined that this scum is in the country illegally, the article doesn't say so. And watch, he'll be out in 5 years to do it again.

Thank-you for posting this update, wondered what had happened with this scum. Maybe someone who lives near should keep track of him, so when he is released they can determine if he gets deported.

ST. ANTHONY, Idaho — An eastern Idaho man convicted of raping and impregnating his girlfriend's then-9-year-old daughter also engaged in sexual conduct with two minors while living in Mexico, a prosecutor said.
Fremont County Prosecutor Penny North-Shaul said Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, 38, confessed to molesting a 14-year-old when he was 19 and a 16-year-old when he was 26.
Gutierrez-Juarez was sentenced to five years to life in prison Tuesday in 7th District Court for raping the 9-year-old. Authorities said he will be deported once he completes his sentence and won't be allowed back in the United States.
He pleaded guilty in September to felony rape as part of a plea agreement.
He was arrested in April after the girl gave birth by a Caesarean section at Madison Memorial Hospital when she was 10, setting off an investigation by police.
North-Shaul said a psychosexual evaluation revealed that Gutierrez-Juarez engaged in sexual conduct with the two other minors while living in Mexico.
His attorney, Paul Butikofer, said that the 16-year-old was married to his client and they had three children together.
According to the evaluation, Gutierrez-Juarez is manipulative, shows no remorse, doesn't accept responsibility for his actions, and doesn't understand the harm he caused to his victim.
"He takes an opportunity and exploits it," said North-Shaul, quoting from the psychosexual evaluation, the Post Register reported. "His behavior is most dangerous."
Butikofer asked for probation for his client, and Gutierrez-Juarez told 7th District Judge Brent Moss on Tuesday that he's remorseful for the crime he committed, and didn't want to lose his children and stepchildren.
"I want an opportunity, and I swear to you this will never happen again," Gutierrez-Juarez said.
But Moss was not swayed.
"I have a concern that others will be at risk unless you're watched for a significant period of your life," Moss said. "This is a life sentence you placed on this girl. So I think this is appropriate."
