    Identity Theft Details Released; LULAC Condemns Raid

    Identity Theft Details Released; LULAC Condemns Raid
    Details Of Identity Theft Raids; LULAC Condemns

    48 people are now indicted as part of Wednesday's identity theft raid at the Pilgrim's Pride in Mount Pleasant. Immigration and customs officials confirmed that they've been looking into the scam for over a year.

    Nearly 300 people in all were arrested in the pre-dawn raids at plants in 5 states. Authorities want to make it clear that the arrests were not random, and they had proof those in custody were working under someone else's Social Security number.

    "A good set of documents that had the right Social Security number and right name could run up to $1300," said John Chakwin, Special Agent In Charge, Immigration & Customs Enforcement. "Its cost you more money that is more money for the right Social Security number and right name and date of birth. All the documents are provided to you, including drivers license, birth certificate. And they are all counterfeit."

    ICE agents said their investigation started when the victims of these identity theft came forward after such issues as they couldn't get credit reports, and had problems with their taxes.

    Word of the raids spread like wildlfire in the Hispanic community, causing fear and panic. Thursday, The League of United Latin American Citizens Officials condemned the raids and asked for justice to be served. But ICE officials say those in custody were treated with dignity and respect.

    "That is not the way that I grew up in America - where people feared they were going to come and take your children away," said Domingo Garcia, LULAC General Counsel.

    Garcia said it was well known that around 80% of the workers at Pilgrim's Pride had fake identification. He also said the plant had to have known about it.

    "It's an open secret. Bo Pilgrim wasn't taken away in handcuffs. Why not? Why the double standard? Why go after the employee and not the employer? If you are going to do it, do it right," said Garcia.

    "If our suspicions are correct there were a lot of other people that were picked beyond those that were at the courthouse who were picked up strictly on immigration holds that should never have been even quiestioned at that plant," said local Immigration Attorney Fernando Dubove.

    However, they say at this point they have no proof to back up these claims.

    Another woman was shown to the media at the press conference. She claimed her husband was wrongly taken away Wednesday and that the charges were dropped. However, KLTV learned later that is not the case.

    LULAC also called ICE's actions Gestapo-like.

    "We went above and beyond to make sure people were treated with dignity and respect," said John Chakwin, Special Agent In Charge Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

    ICE insists they carefully planned every detail of the arrests and detentions, including food, water, facilities, and even two nurses to make sure their physical needs were met.

    "Here, we contacted the superintendent that any children left behind at the end of the day to contact us and we would work with the school board to contact a caretaker that the school board would feel comfortable with," said Chakwin.

    CPS was also in the area to assist with any child left unattended. Still, LULAC is not satisfied, and is now asking for a federal investigation into racial profiling.

    It seems LULAC thinks our laws are for citizens only with an exemption for HISPANIC Illegal Immigrants.

    Does the police make sure citizen children are cared for if a parent is arrested ? Should citizens scream racial profiling when they get arrested or should everyone breaking our laws be arrested without controversy ? Do the crime,do the time.

    Has LULAC been taking notes from Mayor Gordon?

    When ICE goes into a plant that is probably 85% hispanic, with warrents naming names, ages and social security numbers which have been stolen it is NOT racial profiling. It is the arrest of thieves and illegal immigrants.

    Shouldn't LULAC be the target of an FBI & CDC investigations:
    Discrimination against anyone not latino?
    LULAC racidal profiles for member ship?
    Racism?
    Conspirecy for aiding and abetting and harboring illegal aliens?
    Sedation against our laws?
    Rebellion and insurrection against ICE, a federal authority of the U.S.A. and U.S. immigration laws with false propoganda, name calling (Gestpo) and intimidation with protests, marches and threats of lawsuits?
    Attempted obstruction of the law using foreign consulates manipulations and threats of overwhelming our justice system?
    Disregard of our laws?
    Accessories to racketeering?
    Exploting workers with low salaries, no benefits, and overwhelming governmentment programs like food stamps, welfare, free medical care, free schooling, court and prison costs at tax-payer's expense?
    Under the Ricco Act, fraud and aiding illegal immigrants to work. (the Mexicant government gives the illegal immigrants a booklet and consulates provides lists of medical facilities, and other government services that don't demand legal proof of status.)
    Subjecting U.S. citizens to public health risks like T.B., hepatitis, and other diseases through our food supply, work, schools, and the community?

    What IS 'Aiding or Abetting?
    To 'Aid or Abet' is to actively, knowingly, or intentionally assist another person in the commission or attempted commission of a crime, such as illegally entering our country without our permission or knowledge, housing them, transporting them, or employing them.
    1. It is 'aiding or abetting' to "encourage or induce an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law." 8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv).
    2. It is 'aiding or abetting' to "conceal or attempt to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, illegal aliens, including any building or any means of transportation."
    8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iii).
    3. It is also 'aiding or abetting' to "engage in any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts."
    8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(v)(I).
    4. It is a felony to 'aid or abet' in the commission of the above acts.
    8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(v)(II).

    Sedition usually involves actually conspiring to disrupt the legal operation of the government [as in advocating the willful disobeyance of our laws] and is beyond expression of an opinion or protesting government policy [as in 'aiding and abetting' illegal aliens]." (1) "Sedition is conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state."

    § 2383. Rebellion or insurrection
    How Current is This? Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

    Racketeering is the act of operating an illegal business or scheme in order to make a profit, perpetrated by a structured group. It is a broad category of criminal acts that includes bribery, sexual exploitation of children, and illegal gambling, among many others. Racketeering is closely associated with organized crime, since both are conducted by groups.
    Racketeering encompasses many criminal acts. It includes theft and fraud against businesses or individuals. Governments can be victimized by racketeering; examples include counterfeiting money and trading in untaxed alcohol. Racketeering can also take the form of providing illegal services, such as prostitution or drug trafficking. Racketeering also takes place among legitimate businesses or labor unions, where it is sometimes referred to as white-collar crime. Examples include extortion and money laundering.
    While all forms of racketeering are targeted by law enforcement agencies, of particular concern to the United States government is labor racketeering. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines labor racketeering as the manipulation of a labor force, which affects all industries and businesses related to that labor group. Beginning in the 1950s, the FBI has investigated criminal organizations, especially La Cosa Nostra or the Mafia, with labor union ties and learned that many of their operatives pose as or are in collusion with union members while engaging in labor racketeering. These racketeers extort union officials or bribe them with offers of favorable contracts or settled disputes, or otherwise coerce them to accept certain terms or demands. The ultimate goal of most labor racketeering is the control of health, welfare, and pension plans of union members, the total assets of which amount to several billion dollars.
    Labor racketeering not only denies laborers their rights, but also results in economic loss to workers, the industry, and consumers. The FBI has determined that labor racketeering leads to increased labor costs, which are passed on to consumers and cost the American public millions of dollars annually. To target entire corrupt entities instead of replaceable individuals, racketeering is federally prosecuted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statute. Through the use of this statute, the government hopes to eliminate the corruption caused by racketeering.
    http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-racketeering.htm

    RICO offenses
    Under the law, racketeering activity means:

    Any violation of state statutes against gambling, murder, kidnapping, arson, robbery, bribery, extortion, dealing in obscene matter, or dealing in a controlled substance or listed chemical (as defined in the Controlled Substances Act);
    Any act of bribery, counterfeiting, theft, embezzlement, fraud, dealing in obscene matter, obstruction of justice, slavery, racketeering, gambling, money laundering, commission of murder-for-hire, and several other offenses covered under the Federal criminal code (Title 1;
    Embezzlement of union funds;
    Bankruptcy or securities fraud;
    Drug trafficking;
    Money laundering and related offenses;
    Bringing in, aiding or assisting aliens in entering the country (if the action was for financial gain);
    Acts of terrorism.
    Pattern of racketeering activity requires at least two acts of racketeering activity, one of which occurred after the effective date of this chapter and the last of which occurred within ten years (excluding any period of imprisonment) after the commission of a prior act of racketeering activity. The U.S. Supreme Court has instructed federal courts to follow the continuity plus relationship test in order to determine whether the facts of a specific case give rise to an established pattern. Predicate acts are related if they "have the same or similar purposes, results, participants, victims, or methods of commission, or otherwise are interrelated by distinguishing characteristics and are not isolated events." H.J. Inc. v. Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. Continuity is both a closed and open ended concept, referring to either a closed period of conduct, or to past conduct that by its nature projects into the future with a threat of repetition.

    I'm sick and tired of these orgs like LULAC spouting racial profiling when in essence they are saying the illegal aliens shouldn't have to take responsibility for their criminal actions. This is how they try to twist the facts of this issue.

    I agree, As a matter of fact, I called Pilgrims Pride because their product was in my local store. I asked them specifically if they had any illegal aliens working for them and they said no, but they obviously knew about it.

    They need to arrest and charge the employer as well.

    "Fear and panic" should "spread like wildfire" in the community. Any illegal aliens who steal and use id's to get jobs should be worried because they are going to be LOCKED UP for being a criminal.

    LULAC- justice was served. The raids should continue until all illegal aliens are caught.

    Garcia said it was well known that around 80% of the workers at Pilgrim's Pride had fake identification. He also said the plant had to have known about it.
    Garcia KNOWS this, but condemns the raid by ICE? Does he think its okay for illegal aliens to break the law? What about the victim whose identity was stolen by an illegal aien?

    I am so sick and tired of Hispanic groups who stick up for the rights of illegal immigrants who BREAK THE LAW!
