Controversial Illinois Minuteman Project to host CL forum

CRYSTAL LAKE – Dan Prigge, 54, says he personally has felt the effects of illegal immigration, which is one reason why he feels so passionately about doing something to fight it.

Last week, his wife had rotator cuff surgery to repair damage from when she was in a car accident with an illegal immigrant whom he believes either left the country or changed his name to avoid prosecution.

As a result, the Crystal Lake couple has faced substantial out-of-pocket costs, as well as lost income from time off work, Prigge said.

On Aug. 25, Prigge plans to attend a seminar in his hometown hosted by the Illinois Minuteman Project, a group dedicated to educating Americans about illegal immigration.
