Open borders and the Catholic elite

Open borders and the Catholic elite
    By Michelle Malkin • April 18, 2008 11:09 AM

During his visit this week, the Pope has made repeated comments critical of immigration enforcement efforts–such as they are–in the U.S. His primary concerns are not the sovereignty and security of our country. Open borders benefit Catholic churches looking to fill their pews and collection baskets. The Vatican and American bishops, led by radical L.A. Cardinal Roger Mahony, have long promoted immigration anarchy and lawlesness. Their campaign continues:

More than 45,000 people filled Nationals Park on a clear spring day, as the pope, wearing scarlet vestments, led the service from an altar erected in centerfield of the recently inaugurated baseball stadium. Rows of red-robed church leaders joined him. The enthusiastic crowd burst into cheers when Benedict entered the stadium in his popemobile.

His homily was more somber. Benedict examined American society, saying he detected anger and alienation, increasing violence and a “growing forgetfulness of God.â€

I have left the Catholic church and have not looked back..

It's real easy to sit upon a golden thrown, pulling in Billions and Billions of dollars from the Flock while subjugating the flock to the wolves in the name of more profit from Illegal Immigrants

No... it's time to remove any and all tax exempt status. The Catholic church has step across the line over and over and over again

    Or

The Catholic Church should move south of the Border to do it's mission

I still say, open up the Vatican to them! Fly them over and turn the Vatican into apartments and condos!

May you NEVER come here again either. You are part of the problem Mr Pope, because you sure ain't the cure.

If you need to drum up business, go to Mexico BUT don't talk to the Mexicans that are HERE illegally! Hopefully you are not given tax-free status in your country since politics is your agenda........

I am (was) a Catholic too-

I am (was) a Catholic too- I attended parochial school for 12 years. I interviewed to enter the priesthood. In my senior year of high school, I decided to wait and eventually followed a more worldly life. I am furious with the pope and the catholic church. I say (and said it here recently) that they should be following their teachings. They should take down the Vatican wall, they should sell their treasure and their fine garments and distribute the orceeds to the poor that they will welcome into the Vatican. They should don humble garments and go forth to the needy countries of the world and help them to improve their countries. Then and only then should the pope dare to say anything about this, the most generous country in the world.

On a (I hope) humorous note--I asked my wife if the pope looked familiar. After a while it dawned on me---if you ever watched (if you are old enough) the Matlock programs?? The pope looks like Matlock's childhood friend Billy!!!!!!

    Good piece misterbill
I thought the pope looked ridiculous in that outfit with the carboard high-hat, and the red shoes. Whaite is a sign of purity and that church should wear all red garb to show their shame.....
Clothing wise, does he not get out enough? Does he not know the bad memories people have form the theatrical outfits the Catholic church people wear? If we were like him we would be wearing caveman animals skins like the Flintstones for god sake.
