Illegal alien charged with brutal rape in Los Angeles

On Tuesday, Pablo Reyes Bautista, 26, was charged with the rape of a 29-year-old woman, which occurred in her Rowland Heights home in 2012.

On Oct. 27, 2012, Bautista slipped into the victim's apartment through an unlocked sliding glass door, while she was sleeping. He then beat and raped her, according to court documents.

DNA evidence collected at the scene, eventually led to Bautista's arrest.

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported:
Sheriff’s detectives were notified last month that the FBI Combined DNA Index System showed DNA from the rape case matched DNA from a man arrested on an unrelated attempted murder.

The man turned out to be Bautista’s twin brother. Investigators interviewed him, ruled him out as a suspect and zoomed in on Bautista.
Bautista has been charged with first degree burglary, rape, sexual penetration by a foreign object, aggravated mayhem and assault with intent to commit rape during the commission of a first degree burglary. He is currently being held at the Los Angeles County Central Jail on an immigration detainer.
