Jose is a day laborer who is suspected of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl.


Las Vegas Police have been combing the region in hopes of locating a man accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl.

Cops say that on July 8, 2006 at about 10 in the morning, the victim's mother walked in on her daughter being sexually abused by their tenant of the last month, Jose. A fight ensued between the woman and Jose resulting in Jose's escape out of the apartment's second story window.

Detectives believe Jose looks for day labor jobs at the intersection of Rancho Drive and Bonanza Road in Las Vegas, a mile away from the apartment where the incident took place. Cops stress that time is of the essence because not only does Jose's occupation enable him to be anywhere, they also fear that Jose may be an illegal immigrant and trying to escape to Mexico.

Jose was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, a yellow and orange shirt, grey pants and black shoes. Police say may have cuts on his chest and mouth area.
