RALEIGH - A Raleigh firetruck received minor damage late Tuesday night when a motorist failed to yield to the truck's flashing lights and siren, Raleigh police officials said Tuesday night.

Watch Commander Capt. Norman Grodi said Omar Garcia, 17, was being processed into the Wake County jail late Tuesday because he was an illegal immigrant. Garcia was being held on a $500 bond until he could provide identification. He did not have a drivers license or insurance information for the vehicle Tuesday night.

Grodi said the firetruck was responding to a call just after 10 p.m. Tuesday. The other vehicle hit the fire truck in the side as it passed through the intersection of Green and Millbrook roads. No injuries were reported in the wreck, Grodi said.
