    Rifle owner held in boy's slaying

    2:00 a.m. January 11, 2009

    EAST PALO ALTO – The owner of a rifle has been arrested in the accidental shooting of a 2-year-old boy, police said. Police said Sergio Sanchez, 33, turned himself in Friday.

    Andrew Grewe was fatally shot in the chest by his 12-year-old cousin, who had found the rifle in the garage. Authorities said the boy's family had asked Sanchez – a one-time deported felon and family friend staying at the home – to get rid of the weapon.

    It is a federal felony for an illegal alien to own or possess a fire arm.
    It is a felony for a convicted felon to own or possess a firearm.
    NO AMNESTY

    The parents should be brought up on charges. They are indirectly responsible for this childs death.
