Why is a foreign group getting to petition our government for rights to continue breaking the rule of law?
Think about how these undocumented students/illegals are effecting Grade Point Averages (GPA's) of American High School Students, now. American student have and are having their class ranking reduced by the illegal students low ranking classes grades being compared to higher more difficulty classes that Americans are taking to get into college.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

On the whitehouse comment website, there are hundreds of American students who are having a hard time affording college, even with grants, loans and in-state tuiton. NO WAY is there any money to fund illegal aliens. I hope laraza makes a huge public splash with this demand, I wonder how many suffering American students will sympathize this time around. Especially if their parents lose jobs and can no longer afford the college payments.

Campaign launched by the Dream Act
Race asked to call Congressmen
The Dream Act has been discussed several times in Congress since 2003 and is beneficial to students with good grades.
March 24, 2009
Immigration Reform
MIAMI - Call your Congressman and ask him to support the Dream Act With this phrase, the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) launched a national campaign in support of a bill, if approved by Congress, would give residency to thousands of undocumented students out.
Route of legalization
"This month the Law Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors-DREAM) Act was introduced in the House and Senate," Raza said in a statement. . The initiative opens the way for those who qualify "to obtain U.S. citizenship," he added.

Undocumented Immigrants
Race added that the project remove "significant barriers to the success of immigrant students workers who were brought to the United States at an early age and who have the desire to contribute fully to American society."
The organization called for public support for the initiative with phone calls to senators and representatives to help create the necessary impetus to this legislation. "
"Call your representatives in Congress and Encourage them to sponsor the Dream Act," said La Raza. He also urged the president to endorse Barack Obama and pass this legislation in 2009.
Project Phases
The Dream Act favors students who have no legal papers to stay in the country. Given a temporary residence and, after his studies, may apply for permanent residence andalusia immigration service.
In late October 2007 the Senate rejected a motion to reopen the debate on the Dream Act The proposal was introduced by the leader of the Senate, Harry Reid (D-Nevada), who had the backing of at least 50 of the 100 seats in the Senate.
After the vote achieved 52 votes. The project required a minimum of 60 to be approved.
Six years debating
The Dream Act was first introduced in Congress in 2003. It allows undocumented students who were reared in the United States and graduated from secondary Americans have the opportunity to pursue their higher studies and take a path to citizenship.
Since that year over 400 thousand of the best students in this country have graduated from high school with no hope of making their higher education, "he said in late July 2007 La Raza.
"We can not let this continue to be wasted talent. Now it's time for Congress to approve it and allow the tremendous potential that these students have to be used by our communities and our country," said the entity.
Only title
Fostered by the Dream Act would make the residence only if they obtain a degree and if during the passage through the university maintain the same level of qualifications obtained during secondary school.
In 2007 at least three failed attempts, only in the Senate for approving the project.
The Dream Act does not allow undocumented immigrants to receive financial aid for higher education, but in case some of them through the project can legalize their status, could have access to loans and programs, said Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Illinois), one of the authors of the project.
The project is supported, as well as La Raza, by The American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), the country's largest union, as well as dozens of institutions that uphold the rights of immigrants.
Details of the plan
The Dream Act would allow undocumented students about 65 thousand high school graduates to adjust their status to legal resident conditioned by six years.
In addition:
Temporary resident visas are granted only if the student entered the U.S. before the age of 16.
The student is encouraged to have lived in the United States over the five years preceding the adoption of the Act.
The student must possess good moral character, demonstrate good behavior and have no criminal record.
Students benefit gain legal permanent residence if, during the 6 years to get a temporary residence college degree, and during passage through the university maintain the same level of qualifications obtained during secondary school.
They must also serve at least two years into armed forces or perform 910 hours of volunteer work in programs approved by the department (ministry) of Homeland Security (DHS).
