Illegal alien shoplifting ring stole $300,000 worth of goods

Ross stores targeted by illegal aliens

On Thursday, five illegal aliens pleaded guilty to conspiracy, grand theft and burglary in a shoplifting scheme that targeted San Diego-area Ross clothing stores.

According to prosecutors, the thieves struck the same stores several times a week for two years, netting them approximately $150,000 a year in stolen goods.

Mexican nationals William Cruz Pena, 26, Maria Delaluz Oros, 45, Benita Rubio, 47, and Heriberto Tolentino, 42, will serve two-year prison terms, while Diana Palazios, 37, will be sentenced to a year in the county jail.

They were arrested on January 5, during a traffic stop in Encinitas. They were caught with $6,000 worth of clothes and accessories they had just stolen. Police Sgt. Tom Poulin said, they “could barely sit in the backseat of their cars.â€

That does not surprise me. The South Americans do that in South Florida on a regular basis. They caught 2 at the Aventura Mall who had over $3,000 of stolen merchandise in the trunk of a rental vehicle when caught. When police searched where they were living they found even more stuff. One of the stores caught them and called police. The mall has off duty officers working there so they followed them to their vehicle and watched them pop the trunk and saw it packed with stuff and attempted to arrest them. The male attempted to run an officer over and then ran and the female was removed from the car and arrested. the guy was caught by the golf course and got tazed a couple of times. One of them told officers they living here and were from Colombia. Their point of entry was Puerto Rico. Once police heard that ICE was called immediately. That city does not fool around any illegal they arrest they notify ICE right away.
