Illegal Alien Workers Detained at Pineville Olive Garden

Illegal Alien Workers Detained at Pineville Olive Garden

    March 21st, 2008
    Carolina Politics Online

Nine workers were escorted out of the Olive Garden restaurant in Pineville Thursday afternoon and loaded into a van after being arrested on illegal immigration violations.

Agents with the U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement converged on the Italian restaurant about 4:30 p.m. after getting information that unauthorized workers might be inside, said Richard Rocha, a spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Washington, D.C.

The arrests took place during the beginning of rush hour as the restaurant’s dinner crew was clocking in.

Investigators would not release the names or charges against the workers who are from Indonesia, Mexico and Guatamala.

Darden Restaurants is going to have quite a bit to explain here. You generally don’t hear about large chains engaging in employing illegals. It’s usually the small businesses. You have to wonder if this is just an isolated incident or if this is an “authorizedâ€

Next check delivery drivers for pizzas right down to furniture....of course "technically" they haven't "hired" them....they're independant workers.

I just returned from Costco and there were many Spanish speaking employees working there. It's a good thing I didn't have a question about something.

All of these Spanish-speaking employees are usually university students engaged in sociological experiments, or English literature students. Their English is usually superb; they just want to see what a typical American's reaction is to their presence. They don't want to give away who they truly are.

In 2010 the results of this huge, nationwide study will be released. Then, the students will return to their native lands, and all will be okay.

No, I haven't been sipping the Easter Egg Nog. I'll go back to normal posts.

    Las Vegas

    Yes thats right grandmasmad
And the same is with many building trades. I have reported Murphy electric for hiring criminal illegal aliens, sending people down to the border picking up illegals and sending them to the flea market to get new idenities. Nothing ever happens, I wonder why they even opened up the ICE office here.
Our state knowing hands out driver license to illegals, are media hides the fact when illegals comit crimes, as does the police department.
If you don't think that Vegas has been invaded, try the link on the bottom. This is a website that you can listen to METRO live, just listen to all the illegals they come in contact with.
I won't spend a dime in a casino till they get ride of the illegals.
