Illegal aliens found in SUV

Border Patrol agents are searching for the driver of an SUV who fled from them in the area of Greenfield Drive and Interstate 8 near EL Cajon, according to a spokesman.

Four people inside the SUV who may be illegal immigrants were taken into custody, said Agent Mark Endicott.

Undercover agents spotted the Chevrolet Suburban SUV heading west on the freeway about 11:30 a.m. and asked for assistance from a Border Patrol vehicle with official markings, Endicott said. That vehicle got behind the SUV, which prompted the Suburban's driver to stop in the median and then flee across the eastbound lanes of I-8, Endicott said.
