Man Found Guilty of Attempted Rape and Kidnapping of Stoneham Girl

An illegal immigrant was found guilty Tuesday in a Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn on multiple charges for assaulting a Stoneham High School girl running in the Middlesex Fells Reservation in September 2010.

Yuri Mikalixen, 23, hit a 15-year-old girl jogging through the Fells from behind and attempted to rape her.

Mikalixen was sentenced by a judge to 5-7 years in state prison on a kidnapping charge, 3-5 years concurrent on the assault with attempt to rape charge and five years probation.

Mikalixen, who was living in Malden, according to a Fox 25 News report, is expected to be deported to Brazil after completing his sentence.
