Son-in-law charged with capital murder

The son-in-law of a man stabbed to death Monday evening in a Northwest Side home has been charged with capital murder.

Antonio Obregon Limon, 39, is accused of stabbing Rogelio Barrera, 60, with a kitchen knife in what police are calling a domestic dispute.

Barrera's daughter is married to Limon, but she had moved in with her parents after having spent a week arguing with Limon, according to a police report.

The police report said Limon broke into Barrera's home by smashing a sliding glass door in the back of the house with a hammer. Limon and Barrera got into an argument and Limon stabbed Barrera as Barrera's wife, daughter and two grandchildren watched, the report said.

When police arrived, they found Limon sitting at the kitchen table. Limon is being held on $500,000 bond.

Driver arrested in pedestrian death

A driver has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a pedestrian was killed Monday evening in the 500 block of Vance Jackson Road.

Robert Edward Enriquez, 46, told police he had a dozen beers before his car hit Anthony Romero, 50, a police report said. Enriquez was being held at the Bexar County Jail Tuesday on $100,000 bond.

Romero was crossing Vance Jackson just after 7 p.m. when a Cadillac Deville hit him. A witness told police it appeared the Deville was speeding.

When police arrived, they noted a strong odor of alcohol on Enriquez's breath and he appeared to be unsteady, the report said.

Bexar County records show Enriquez has been convicted of drunken driving twice â€â€
