Illegal immigrant caught stealing large amount of cattle feed

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched Saturday to a dairy farm in response to a burglary.
“It wasn’t until deputies had the opportunity to look inside the suspect’s vehicle at the scene that a number of other charges were added.
Maximino Rivera, an illegal immigrant, was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance, burglary of a building, unlawful possession of a weapon and release of surety for two prior offenses (fraudulent possession of identifying information and theft of livestock).
“A Dyess Dairy employee was in the area and found Rivera unlawfully taking bags of feed from one of the dairy’s barns and placing them into his vehicle. He was confronted and held at the scene until deputies arrived,â€
