Illegal employers notified illegals about raid in Van Nuys

    TRANSLATED FROM:

"I feel very badly, this could not be happening to me", regrets Laura MartÃ*nez, wife of one of the 130 persons under arrest in the largest operation in recent years from the office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the area of Los Angeles.

The first ones revealed to La Opinion that in November of 2007, agents of immigration went to their offices to check the work permits of personnel, situation in which they were notified by the their boses. "They told us that if we didn't want to come work that we shouldn't", indicated an employee that asked for anonymity.

While I was in college, I worked for a landscaping company for a couple summers. The scumbag owner did the same thing with his illegals whenever "la migra" gave him a phone call.

Not sure I understand all the facts here . How are employers able to give advance notification of a pending ICE Raid or search. Is ICE actually calling these employers and giving them advanced notice of a pending search?

If that's the case, makes you wonder what side ICE is really on.
