Thread: Illegal Employment Encouraged

I have a relative here that got her green card on April 16th. She came from Canada and was unable to legally work here till this year. Now she is having problems getting work. Many places have you apply on line and you are unable to write any comments or speak to a live person. She is 20 now and all she gets is thanks but no thanks as she should have had jobs already. This is favoring illegal employment and discriminating against those who follow the law. Today she went for a background check at a police department and was asked in front of 30 people why she has not had a job yet and she told them immigration. I hold her to proudly tell them that I followed the law and only applied for jobs when I was legally allowed to work here. Why should she be punished for following the laws of our land?
I need help in bringing this to the attention of the media and government.

Thats a tough one. Employers can always use the excuse that a more qualified canidate for the job has applied. And do you know for a fact the she didn't get those jobs because they hired an Illegal Immigrant for that exact posistion she applied for. I think that you would have to prove that before anyone would report on it I think. But congrats to her for dooing it the right way and I'm positive that it will pay off!!

ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS us the same excuse for NOT hiring qualified CITIZENS!!
