Illegal Flights
Wednesday , August 22, 2007 Posted: 11:00 PM
While many illegal immigrants sneak across the Rio Grande, or get smuggled into the states, some are trying the direct approach of flying into the country.
McAllen - U.S. Border Patrol Agents say they're having to stay more vigilant at Valley airports, because many illegals are trying to simply fly into the country.
On Wednesday, agents arrested two people who came into the country illegally, and were trying to catch a flight deeper into the U.S.
But, not every passenger flying into the country is checked.
Oscar Saldana, a U.S. Border Patrol Spokesman says "we only check people, as far as immigration documents, trying to leave McAllen to wherever, Dallas, Houston.. That's what our job is."
They say, trying to fly into the country is nothing new, but it is becoming a bigger problem, which is why they have to stay on alert.

The illegals will do anything to get into this country. They go right past us, they go under us, and now they're going right over us. They're like a swarm of mosquitoes that you can't get rid of.

Pretty soon they'll be wearing pink bunny suits and hop across the...oh, wait...they've probably already done that, too.
