    LORAIN — Jose Zamarripa, 40, of Lorain, was arrested for identity fraud Monday after it was learned he was really an illegal immigrant who had been using a false name and false documents for the last 18 years, according to a Lorain police report.

    Zamarripa said he had been using the alias Alfredo Luciano ever since he obtained a birth certificate that belonged to Luciano, the report said.

    Under that alias, Zamarripa had been arrested for several drunken driving charges, had a driver’s license and Social Security card.

    He was arrested and taken to Lorain City Jail where he was being held for the FBI.
