Illegal Immigrant Charged with Raping 5-Year-Old in Delco

Police in Collingdale, Pa. have arrested an illegal immigrant on a charge of raping a five-year-old girl.

Investigators say Julio Cruz, 28, was living on the street, along with his Delaware County-native girlfriend. They were taken in by a good samaritan this week when, according to Collingdale police chief Robert Adams, Cruz ellegedly walked into the bedroom of the good samaritan’s daughter and raped her:

"At that point, she ran out of her bedroom, went to her mother’s room and woke her mother up."

Adams says when officers arrived, Cruz gave them a fake name and claimed he spoke no English. A fingerprint check revealed Cruz’s identity, as well as the fact he was listed as a “deportable alienâ€
