Police arrested three men on an attempt to kidnap jogger

KEY BISCAYNE (WSVN) -- Police arrested three suspects accused of attempting to kidnap a woman jogging in Key Biscayne.

Four men tried to kidnap, 41-year-old Miami resident during her daily jog on Monday morning around 5 A.M. on the Rickenbacker Causeway. The woman said the men in a 1999 Ford Explorer were following her, and telling the victim in spanish for her to get inside the car. The victim said she ignored them, but they continued to follow and ordered her to get in or they would shoot her. She began running and yelling for help when, a Miami Police officer drove up, scaring the men away.

They were found and arrested less than an hour by Key Biscayne Police. Inside the van, police found duct tape, rope, fake IDs, and condoms.

Jose Manuel Nuñez, 21, Nelsin Escobar, 20 and Alberto Aquino Alvarez, 21, and Allan Soriano-Lopez, 19 were taken into custody. All except Soriano-Lopez remain behind bars because the victim was unable to identify him as one of the suspects. All of the suspects are illegal aliens, and have received bond between $10-$15,000 each.
