    Border Agent Intentionally Slaughtered

    Border Agent Intentionally Slaughtered
    January 22nd, 2008
    by MorningStar

On January 19, 2008 while the bickering presidential candidates were busy slugging it out in Nevada and South Carolina over who is the least qualified of the entire unqualified bunch, a lone Border Patrol Agent attempting to stop two vehicles loaded down with illegal drugs, illegal aliens and smugglers about a mile from the Mexican border, was intentionally struck and killed by the criminals.

Border Patrol Agents witnessed the two vehicles, a brown Humvee and a red Ford F-250 pickup, as they illegally crossed the border from Mexico into the United States about 20 miles west of Yuma. The two vehicles were traveling west on Interstate 8 when the smugglers saw the agents and turned around, heading back toward Mexico with the Border Patrol close behind. Senior Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar was struck on Interstate 8 near Gray’s Well Road in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area as he attempted to force the two vehicles to stop by placing spike strips in their path. A witness to the murder stated that the driver of the car that struck Aguilar intentionally swerved across the road in order to run over him. After the agent was struck, both vehicles escaped into Mexico. Senior Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar was 32 years old and a six year veteran of the Border Patrol. He left behind a wife and two children.

Following the incident, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff issued a press statement to the effect that he is outraged by the tragic loss and that the Mexican ambassador extended his condolences and deep assurance that the Mexican government will be resolute in tracking down the perpetrators, and bringing them to swift justice. At the time of this writing no arrests have been made and no suspect descriptions are available, however, on Saturday the Mexican police on the west side of Mexicali reported finding the burnt out remains of a Humvee suspected as being one of the vehicles used in the crime, and a Ford pickup matching the description of the second vehicle was found burned on Sunday in Ejido Nayarit, a farming area south of Los Algodones. The vehicle identification numbers on the burnt Humvee match those of a Humvee that was reported stolen in Santa Ana, California. The Ford pickup truck was reported as being stolen near Calexico.

The death of Agent Luis Aguilar is tragic but it is not surprising. In some respects it is a relief that it was only one agent killed and not an entire group of Border Patrol Agents, however, I am certain that this brings little comfort to Aguilar’s widow or his two small children. Violent assaults against Border Patrol agents rose from 752 in 2006 to 987 in 2007 and one out of every four assaults against Border Patrol agents along the 1,952 miles of border with Mexico occurred in the same area where Luis Aguilar was brutally murdered. Illegal aliens and drug smugglers are attacking American border patrol agents on a daily basis and these attacks are becoming more organized and sophisticated every day. Illegal aliens are drawing the agents into the numerous isolated gullies and ravines located throughout the area, where their cohorts can ambush them from two sides and catch the unwitting border agents in a violent crossfire. Illegal aliens armed with high-powered sling-shots fire steel ball bearings at the agents while others wrap stones in kerosene soaked rags which they set on fire before throwing them at the agents or into the tinder dry brush the agents attempt to use for cover. After they get the agents pinned down and incapacitated, the smugglers can freely move their human cargo and drugs through the area.

As tragic as the death of Agent Luis Aguilar might be, we should remember that he was one of the twenty five American citizens killed by illegal aliens in the United States on January 19, 2008, and while his death has generated a good deal of righteous indignation, there is little outrage for the more than 4,380 American citizens killed by illegal aliens in this country every year. The mindless act of violence that claimed the life of Agent Aguilar is no more or less evil than any of the other thousands of needless deaths suffered by American citizens every year at the hands of these parasitic criminal invaders. The blood of Agent Aguilar, like the blood of the 4,380 Americans killed last year by illegal aliens, and the 4,380 killed the year before is on the hands of our current presidential administration who has consistently refused to secure our borders against these predators; it is on the hands of the Republican and Democratic politicians in Washington who have allowed our national security to dwindle away to nothing while they pander to business leaders looking for cheap labor and Latino special interest groups looking for support in the upcoming elections. The streets and sidewalks of our nation’s capital are awash with the blood of thousands of innocent lives taken; the air is filled with the anguished cries of the lives that have been shattered and destroyed while our elected representatives have sat idly by, doing nothing to protect the American people from the predation. And yet, when we consider all sides of this ugly and deplorable image, we should also see the blood of these victims on our own hands for we are the voters who fail to hear the cries of the dead and the dying; we are the people who keep electing the self-serving and corrupt politicians who do nothing, and ultimately we must face the truth that the charnel house we have chosen to sleep in has been built by our own labor and the pain and suffering that fills it is nothing more than our just reward for our own negligence, our apathy and our extreme stupidity.

The Mexican ambassador's responce is weak and unacceptable. Quote: Mexican government will be resolute in tracking down the perpetrators, and bringing them to swift justice. Unquote. It is the right of the US Government, not the Mexican government, to bring them to justice through our court system.

Why aren't the presidential candidates issuing statements decrying this cold-blooded murder of our heroic border agent, calling for 'whatever force necessary' for our agents to protect themselves and their own, calling for ARMED US military forces on the border and calling for official complaints to be lodged with the Mexican government.

Why aren't they protesting the dozens of Mexican military excursions onto American soil in 2007?
