Illegal Immigrant's 7-Year-Old Son Sues Feds

CHICAGO -- There is a new legal strategy to keep illegal Mexican immigrant Elvira Arellano and her son from being deported.

Arellano and her 7-year-old son, Saul, sought sanctuary in a West Side church last week to avoid deportation.

A federal lawsuit suit has been filed on behalf of the son who was born in America and is a U.S. citizen. It claims deportation of the mother and son would make Saul a second-class citizen.

She breaks our laws by coming here illegaly, defies a court order for deportation, then uses our own laws against us, when it suits her purpose. She and everyone like her, need to go. Hopefully an honest judge will throw the case out of court.

Enough of this woman's crap. ICE needs to go in to the church, put her in handcuffs and then send her back to Mexico. I'm sick of our government's powder puff approach to controlling illegal immigration. It's time to start taking some harsh steps or be overrun with illegal hispanics within the next decade.

She has won over and over to extend her deportation with the help of elected officials by using her son's so-called medical condition. She is now using her son again in this law suit to get what she wants. She is a criminal. I believe she had the son knowing what benefits she would eventually reap by having an American borne child. Where is the father?

I agree.

She puts her children at risk, she pays the price. She knows the risk of coming here illegaly.

Total powder puff legal system we have, and the Mexicans take advantage of it.

We all know how stiff their immigration laws are.

The Mexicans are laughing at us and our liberal laws.

You have got to be kidding me! Pat Buchanan said last night while promoiting his new book that the 14 amendment states that the children are citizens if the parents are legally here. That makes Mr. anchor baby illegal too. Send them both back!

In my opinion, such a case would have no standing in the courts. No one has suggested that the child must be deported, only the mother. While I'm no great legal mind, I would think such a case would be quickly dismissed. Now, if the child was going to be deported - sure he'd have a case, but I don't think the child can file for his mother. This is just another attention getting legal scheme devised by some 2nd rate lawyer. Mark my words, this lawsuit will never see light in the courts. If it does, than our whole legal system is in serious jeopardy!

I agree. But have no fear, a stupid liberal judge will take the case and set precedent for all illegal alien mothers with minor children to legally stay in the US.

This woman is dangerous, and does not believe in a NO! This woman was deported the first time and three days later she was back. She came back to make an "anchor baby" she knew what she was doing. This woman has no respect for anything, she has a lot of guts, and the reason is because she never learned what NO means. Illegal in a country, no language, and had the nerve to become an activist? Imagine this woman as a citizen? Dangerous person.
