NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Five illegal immigrants with false Tennessee drivers licenses are in Davidson County Jail this morning.
While doing background checks on December 6 on employees who were going to put roofs on schools for Jolly Roofing in Collierville, the owner of Personal Protection and Security believed that several employees had fraudulent Tennessee drivers licenses, according to Metro Police. An investigation by the Identity Crimes Unit found eight individuals of the company to have fraudulent identifications after reviewing company files.
On December 11, a traffic stop by the Tennessee Highway Patrol of five individuals at the 1900 block of 8th Avenue South in south Nashville, found each ones identification to have a different name, date of birth and social security number compared to the ones provided to their employer, according to the police affidavit. They were transported to the Department of Homeland Security and interviewed, where they admitted to have entered the United States illegally. Julio Camey, 20; Jorge Ablurez-Galvez, 20; Merlyn Estrada-Orrego, 21; Mauro Porras, 39; and William Ernesto Figeroa Rames, 27, are booked on criminal simulation and forgery charges. Their bonds are set at $30,000.
