A man accused of inappropriately touching a woman who allowed him to live in her home has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge.

Adolfo Ramirez, 47, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to Class A felony gross sexual imposition. He is scheduled to appear in court again on April 1.

According to court documents, a Mandan woman and her husband allowed Ramirez to rent a room in their home after finding out he had nowhere else to stay. Ramirez is accused of inappropriately touching the woman in January after she fell asleep on the couch in the home.

After Ramirez was arrested in the case, Mandan police said further investigation showed he is in the United States illegally and faces deportation. Ramirez moved to Mandan in late 2012 from the Chicago area.
