Feds arrest steakhouse owner for hiring illegal immigrants

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Federal agents have arrested a Pewaukee steakhouse owner for hiring illegal immigrants.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say they arrested Rong "Ricky" Shi of Merton on Thursday.

Investigators targeted Shi after they arrested four illegal immigrants from Mexico and China last month at a Waukesha home he owns. They say Shi knew the immigrants were here illegally, hired them to work at the Asiana Restaurant and harbored them at the residence.

Shi is a naturalized U.S. citizen from China.

A message left at his restaurant requesting comment from his attorney was not immediately returned.

Shi needs to be stripped of his U.S. citizenship and deported to China.
