Thread: 22 illegals in van -9 killed in border patrol chase

this news just out. I posted earlier that MSNBC used 'illegal aliens' in the headline in another article, no warm fuzzy -undocumented. Barring the sadness of this news I can imagine what the immigration advocates will make of it.....

YUMA, Ariz. - Nine illegal immigrants were killed in a highway crash Monday while trying to elude Border Patrol agents, and at least 12 others were injured, officials said.

The large sport utility vehicle carrying up to 22 people swerved to avoid a spike strip put out by Border Patrol agents, Sheriff’s Maj. Leon Wilmot said.

Four victims died at the scene and five others were pronounced dead at a hospital, he said.
Five of the injured were in critical condition, Wilmot said.

Frankly, I'm having a hard time dredging up sympathy here.

They knew that what they were doing is breaking the law, or they wouldn't have tried to avoid the spike strip.

This has go to be the biggest broken record on the net "if they had not illegally crossed the border then..."

Wow, the AP Alien Protectorate called poor old undocumented, looking for a better life, practicing their faith, immigrants "illegal?" Must have been the destruction of an SUV that got to them.

The way it will work: Charge the Border Patrol Officers with a crime,
sue the government, plead the siren wasn't in spanish, the occupants were profiled everyone has 22 people in an SUV. they thought the spikes were a crosswalk and we know mexicans never cross at a crosswalk. The van driver only get $300.00 per passenger and has to support his family and has no time to stop.

What happened to the other 1.

Tragic...but at least nine invaders wont be able to suck the blood out of American taxpayers. I also hope that Mexico will be billed for the services the survivors receive at our American hospital.

I don't think this is what happened in this case but coyotes have been known to slow down and jump out as their car/van goes over a cliff.
I was on a call one time where I had twenty two people in a van that this happened to, the Border patrol have to stop and aid the injured and the coyote gets away.
Sometimes it doesn't work well, another call I was on the coyote jumped out in a bush but failed to see boulder just behind it, he was serious injured and the van stopped when it hit the brush.

If I put 22 people in a SUV, the police would stop me and I would hope that they would stop anyone with that number of people in any vehicle. That is dangerous!!! They should have stopped for the border patrol. If you or I did not stop they would have chased us and if we were hurt to bad.
