Believe me, the majority of the ICE Agents on the ground want to pick these people up. The politicians in Washington who control policy are preventing them from doing so. In fact, there have been instances of ICE agents facing disciplinary action for arresting illegal aliens, because it didn't fit the so called "priorities."

That's good to know ICEstorm. We need to change the Congress in 2010. Spread the word.

I have heard from certain law enforcement agencies that they would round up illegals and call ICE and they would tell them you have to wait. Obviously city and county officers can't wait for 3 hours or more for ICE to show up and when urgent calls start coming in they are forced to let them go. I personally know police officers who would drive them to the Border Patrol office in the neighboring city and the agents would have the gall to say: "what do you want us to do with them?'' But when Cubans stage a landing on the beach in the city the officers who brought people are from Border Patrol goes flying like it was some major emergency and ICE shows up in record time to deal with. It doesn't even take ICE the 3 to 4 hours that they calm it takes for them to pick up illegals.

NO we the American citizens need change and we need it NOW, we deserve some law enforcement after 2 amnestys and 23 years of promises!!!!

Exactly! We are the "WE" that matters around here and if these stupid politicians don't understand that, then they'll get the boot to the curb in 2010 or when their terms come up.

Americans are sick to death of this whining, clamoring and stupid dishonest sob stories from illegal allies stealing our nation blind and even more fed up with our representatives who whine, clamor and lie on their behalf.
