Illegal Immigrants From Texas Are Heading Home to Find a Job!
Unemployment lower in Mexico than in the U.S.
By JOE GOMEZ

Well they're no longer "coming to America." New reports indicate that illegal immigrants from Mexico are heading back home instead of staying north of the border, as Mexico's unemployment rate is lower than that of the United States.

Mexico's unemployment rate is now 4.9 percent compared with the 9.4 percent jobless rate in the U.S. It's a result of this and the fact that Mexico's economy is improving that Luis Vera with LULAC http://lulac(dot)org/ (Opposition Link disabled by ALIPAC Moderator) says many illegal immigrants here are now finding the American dream south of the border, and are returning to Mexico to find a job.

"I think the reality is there are far fewer jobs, with the exception of agriculture, but you know you can only saturate so many people in the agriculture industry," says Vera.

In California alone an estimated 300,000 undocumented immigrants have fled the state since 2008, according to a recent study by the Public Policy Institute of California http://www.ppic.org/. It's an exodus back home that many border security activists like William Gheen of ALIPAC www.alipac.us are rejoicing.

"I think that's wonderful news. And while part of that is the down economy part of that is also increased immigration enforcement," says Gheen.

According to economists in recent years it's become easier to buy homes on credit, find a job and access higher education in Mexico.
