Bush approval in tailspin! Down to 38% and falling!

WASHINGTON, DC, United States (UPI) -- A new Newsweek poll provides further evidence President Bush`s popularity is being hurt by government response to Hurricane Katrina.

The poll found just 38 percent of those asked said they approve of the job the president is doing, a record low for Bush in the Newsweek poll. Fifty-five percent said they disapprove of Bush.

Just 28 percent said they are 'satisfied with the way things are going' in the country -- down from 36 percent in August and 46 percent in December. Two-thirds said they are not satisfied with the direction of the country, Newsweek reported.

The magazine said 57 percent of those polled expressed a loss of confidence in government`s ability to deal with another major natural disaster, because of 'government`s slow response to what happened in New Orleans.'

The question asked about 'government' in general, without distinguishing among federal, state or local government -- or any combination of the three.

Fifty-two percent said they do not trust Bush 'to make the right decisions during a domestic crisis,' while 45 percent said they do.

Only 49 percent of registered voters said Bush has strong leadership qualities -- down from 63 percent just before the November 2004 election

    28%

WELL FOLKS THE REALITY IS HAMMERED HOME!!!

28% OF OUR VOTING POPULACE IS OFFICIALLY RETARDED!!

DOESN'T THIS DISQUALIFY THEM AS REGISTERED VOTERS?

DOES IT BECOME CLEAR WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST?

I regularly have elements of the town I live in up in Washington give me grief and threats, because they like the ability to use illegals and lower their labor costs. It is mindless, and there IS NOTHING FOR IT!!

I have a problem with illegal alien meth cookers too! I am more concerned about them. I explain I kill halibut for money, and they(halibut) have value and work for living, and a natural place in the universe.....and leave it at that..

I'm heading for the exits. While I still can. Venezuela? 12 cent a gallon gas, hmm..... cheers glenn

Why even publish approval numbers? Bush can't be elected again.

He screwed the constituency groups who elected him long ago, who cares what the moderate robots think?
