Last Call for Organizers For Nov. 14 Tea Parties Vs. Amnesty Tuesday, November 03 @ 12:24:59 EST by admin (33 reads) | Friends of ALIPAC,
This is our last strong request for people to step forward to volunteer
as organizers for Tea Parties Against Amnesty & Illegal Immigration
on Saturday, Nov. 14.
We are very pleased that we have 24 organizers in place so far, but
we would like more. Remember that there will be a huge flood of
interest in these events if Luis Gutierrez files his Amnesty bill
before the 14th!
We also will be receiving more press coverage over the coming week
so we need more towns and cities organized to receive the beneifits of
that coverage.
Soon, our full attention will turn to 1. Getting more people to
attend the events we do have organized. 2. Turning up the volume on our
lobbying efforts and 3. Channeling the Tea Party efforts into more
support for our lobbying against Amnesty and illegal immigration.

Supreme Court seeks White House views on hiring illegal immigrants Monday, November 02 @ 19:19:14 EST by Dixie (139 reads) | WASHINGTON — The Obama administration will enter the politically tricky immigration arena, courtesy of the Supreme Court .
On Monday, the court asked the administration for its views in a
challenge to an Arizona law that punishes companies for hiring illegal
aliens. Other states with large immigrant populations will watch the
next steps closely, because their own laws and ballot measures could be
on the line.
"This case involves a question of exceptional
national importance: whether state legislatures and municipal
governments may override Congress' judgment concerning United States
immigration policy," attorney Carter Phillips wrote in a legal brief.

Census count of illegals diminishes citizenship Monday, November 02 @ 01:51:55 EST by jean (127 reads) | A funny thing happened on the way to the 2010 census. A United States senator stood up and said the next census will be a fraud on the American people.
Louisiana Sen. David Vitter set off a firestorm recently when he introduced an amendment proposing that the upcoming census ask respondents if they are U.S. citizens, and if not, if they are here as Legal Permanent Residents. Under his amendment, the census would count all persons, but illegal aliens, tourists, foreign students or other temporary visitors would not be included for the purpose of the congressional apportionment or divvying up federal funds.

Publications, where he said the reform bill “will be introduced when
there is certainty as to the availability of the necessary votes for it

Illegal Aliens Sue ICE Over Arrests Saturday, October 31 @ 02:45:35 EDT by jean (201 reads) | A group of illegal immigrants recently spared deportation by a sympathetic Connecticut judge are suing the federal agents that arrested them, claiming their constitutional rights were violated in the raids that led to their apprehension.
The illegal aliens, who live in New Haven, assert in a federal lawsuit that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents violated their rights during an early-morning fugitive operation in 2007 that led to the arrest of 30 people. 68% Oppose Cities That Give Sanctuary To Illegal Immigrants Saturday, October 31 @ 02:34:15 EDT by jean (119 reads) | San Francisco has long prided itself on being a “sanctuary city” that refuses to work with federal authorities to identify and deport illegal immigrants. But now city officials are arguing over how far that policy should go when some of those illegal immigrants are charged with murder and other serious crimes.
New Rasmussen Reports national telephone polling finds that most Americans oppose sanctuary cities and think their policies lead to an increase in crime. A solid plurality say such cities, including New York, Washington, D.C. and many others, should lose government funding because of their sanctuary policies.

Security concerns for Arpaio after Lou Dobbs shooting scare Thursday, October 29 @ 22:05:49 EDT by admin (227 reads) | Reported by: Katie Fisher
ABC 15
Oct. 29, 2009 5:24 pm
PHOENIX, AZ -- Officials with the Maricopa
County Sheriff's Office say they are closely examining Sheriff Joe
Arpaio's security after a recent shooting involving CNN TV host Lou
Dobbs.
Dobbs' New Jersey home was shot at three weeks ago and some say the
outspoken host may have been the target of pro-illegal immigration
activists.
According to MCSO officials, Dobbs went public Thursday, saying the
media's portrayal of him as a 'hate monger' is fueling open borders
activists to rally against him, now to the degree of attempting to
cause his family bodily harm.
MCSO Spokesperson Ryan Lee said the department is concerned for
Arpaio's safety considering that both he and Dobbs are extremely vocal
and visible on a national level in their beliefs that illegal
immigration is a serious crime, worthy of arrest and incarceration.
