President Barack Obama hinted Thursday that he would delay his unpopular executive amnesty until after the critical November election.
“Our immigration system is broken and need to be fixed, and my preference continues to be that Congress act,” he said, echoing a familiar claim by advocates of greater immigration.
But he next suggested that Congress might ...byPublished on 08-29-2014 09:45 AM Number of Views: 174

DALLAS Thu Aug 28, 2014 11:39am EDT
(Reuters) - When Republican Rep. Jeb Hensarling sat down with colleagues and constituents at a recent Chamber of Commerce lunch in Dallas, the first question he faced was whether Congress planned to address immigration policy and a burgeoning border crisis.
"I'm supposed to do this in 30 seconds?" he joked, noting the issue's complexity. ...byPublished on 08-28-2014 11:17 PM Number of Views: 208
Americans back border agents, demand return of U.S. Marine in Mexican jail
Marine Andrew Tahmooressi gets welcomed home from one of two tours in Afghanistan. He has been in a Mexican prison since March 31 on gun charges
Mass rallies scheduled across the country this weekend in support of non-militarized police, veterans and Border Patrol agents have spread to 116 communities, organizers say.
The rallies begin Friday and Saturday in cities across the nation.
They were spawned by concerns that Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson is being unfairly portrayed as a cold-blooded killer in the national media, that U.S. Marine Andrew Tahmooressi is being held in a Mexican jail because he accidentally crossed the border with legal American guns, and that U.S. Border Patrol agents have come under fire from drug cartels while trying to police the southern border.

Overpasses for America and Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, or ALIPAC, are leading a broad coalition of groups participating in the rallies, which they see as a “warm-up” for even larger protests scheduled for Oct. 24-25 against illegal immigration.
“This coalition of organizations we’re putting together will provide the infrastructure for what will be millions of enraged Americans if Obama unilaterally declares amnesty, which he is telegraphing,” said William Gheen, president of ALIPAC.
If Obama follows through with threats to declare amnesty for a large percentage of the roughly 25 million to 35 million illegals now in the country, Gheen said his organization is prepared to “take the next step,” beyond holding protest signs on highway overpasses.
“We may have to escalate our peaceful activism beyond overpasses and begin doing large scale sit-ins of whatever processing facilities they try to set up for the illegals,” Gheen said. “What Obama is doing and telegraphing he is going to do is a complete violation of our existing laws, our Constitution and our republic. We really have been growing as a result.”
James Neighbors, founder of Overpasses for America, said he senses that grassroots activism is growing in America.
“You get the train moving and people jump on, so whatever it takes,” he said. “We jumped on the border protests July 18-19 and that was the first time multiple groups had come together, and that was sort of our alpha test. We had some bumps and potholes along the way, but we ended up pulling it off with over 320 groups.”
Neighbors continued, “We understand Obama is the poster child for the problem but he is not the problem. He’s just the front man for the whole thing. You can almost look at Obama as the crowning achievement of the corruption going on in D.C. right now. He’s easily the most corrupt president we’ve ever had, but we like to bring attention to all of the problems that are a result of that agenda, and some of those we’ll be addressing this weekend.”
These include what Neighbors calls the “misperception” that all police are out to kill unarmed black teens.
Gheen and Neighbors are careful not to call this weekend’s event “protests,” but rather “rallies.”
“It’s the misperception of our police forces by the liberal media and the fact that we have a Marine locked up in Mexico and the president hasn’t even talked about it,” Neighbors said. “It doesn’t make any ...byPublished on 08-28-2014 10:31 AM Number of Views: 958byPublished on 08-28-2014 07:23 AM Number of Views: 344

How Ferguson and Officer Darren Wilson are related to illegal immigration in America
by William Gheen
President of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)
August 27, 2014
A coalition of groups that are usually focused on fighting against illegal immigration and amnesty, and against Obama and calling for his impeachment, are suddenly focused on a new wider set of issues represented by more than 100 rallies across America this weekend August 29-30.
While those issues will still be represented on the bridges, overpasses, and intersections, Operation American Shield is calling on Americans to come out and show their support for our non-militarized police, veterans, and Border Patrol agents who still support the US Constitution. There will be a special focus on the cases of besieged officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, MO, along with imprisoned ...byPublished on 08-27-2014 02:16 PM Number of Views: 418

Ferguson backlash: Rallies coast-to-coast for officer
Veterans, police, border agents all 'under siege' says organizer
Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was gunned down in a firefight with Mexican gang members at the Arizona-Mexico border in 2010.
Americans plan to take to the streets in nearly 100 U.S. cities this weekend in support of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson as well as a U.S. Marine being held since March 31 in Mexico and the families of two slain Border Patrol agents.
William Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, one of the groups organizing the rallies, said police, veterans and Border Patrol agents are “under siege” in America.

He said the mainstream media are promoting a “false narrative” regarding the teen killed while “surrendering” to police in Ferguson, Missouri, the imprisonment of U.S. Marine Andrew Tahmooressi in Mexico and the killing of border agents Brian Terry and Javier Vega Jr.
Officer Darren Wilson
Gheen charged “widespread defamation and abuse” against the men by a biased media and politicians.
Tahmooressi, 26, was jailed by the Mexican government in late March after inadvertently driving across the border with his personal guns in his car. He claimed he was detained for eight hours without charge and denied access to an interpreter.
Vega Jr. was gunned down by illegal aliens while off duty and fishing with his family in Willacy County, Texas.
Terry was shot and killed in 2010 during a firefight at the Arizona-Mexico border. A Mexican man later pleaded guilty to the shooting in a case tied to the Obama administration’s Fast and Furious gun-running scandal.
“People need to understand why border agents Terry and Vega are dead, why Andrew Tahmooressi is being abused ...
