(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com - From Secure Communities to in-state college tuition, illegal immigration has been a hot topic in the headlines and Beacon Hill.

Republican Senator Bruce Tarr from Gloucester and Democrat Senator Richard Moore from Uxbridge unveiled a new illegal immigration bill right here on FOX 25.

The senators support Secure Communities and they highlighted recent cases of illegal immigrants committing crimes and say they could have been prevented.

They say the bill will reduce the burden on taxpayers while increasing penalties.

The bill also targets employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants and those who help them get fake identities.
