Cleveland Facey Pleaded guilty on drug charges

DOVER — Cleveland Facey, an illegal immigrant charged with numerous drug sales in the city, pleaded guilty to a host of charges in federal court last week and could face up to 30 years in prison.

Facey, 22, pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count of possession of cocaine. He was scheduled for trial March 6.

Facey, who also goes by the name Terrence Darce, also pleaded guilty to a charge of being an illegal alien in possession of a firearm. Prosecutors said Facey, an illegal Jamaican immigrant, knowingly possessed, concealed, stored, bartered, sold and disposed of a .40-caliber pistol on or around Jan. 26, 2006.

The firearms charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, while the drug charges carry a maximum sentence of 20 years.

A five-month investigation by Dover police and the NH Attorney General's Drug Task Force concluded last year when a search of Facey's vehicle uncovered 10 bags of crack cocaine, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office. He was arrested a total of three times in the early part of 2006, first on Jan. 13 and then again on March 2 and May 22.

Last July, Facey was indicted in Strafford County, but the charges were taken up in federal court instead.

Facey's fiancee, Stephanie Nagy, of 733 Lilac Lane, Dover, is currently involved in litigation against the City of Dover and members of the Dover Police Department, alleging officers caused more than $5,000 in damage to her Ford Explorer during a search for drugs on May 22.

Facey, who was known to operate her vehicle, was arrested the day of the search and charged with operating after suspension. The city maintains the search was conducted legally by members of the NH Attorney General's Drug Task Force.

Nagy's case is being adjudicated in U.S. District Court.

Suck it up, Stephanie. Next time, don't let a drug dealer drive your Explorer.
