    Undocumented pair from Mexico
charged with assault on police officer

If you're in the country illegally, here's a tip: Don't assault a cop.

Two undocumented men from Mexico learned that lesson after they attacked an officer who responded when they raised a ruckus in the bus area of a local casino, police said Monday.

Officer Donnell Holland, who was in uniform working a detail in his off-duty hours, was called to the bus area of the Tropicana Casino and Resort at 3:45 p.m. Sunday to send two disorderly men from the premises, said department spokeswoman Sgt. Monica McMenamin.

The men gave Holland a hard time, and then he heard them say something in Spanish before they both attacked him, McMenamin said. The men took off their belts and swung them at Holland, hitting him on the head with the buckles, she said.

Holland called for help and managed to detain the men until backup arrived, McMenamin said.

Daniel DeLeon, 27, who lived in Atlantic City, and Ureiro Grazez, 33, who lived in New York City, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, McMenamin said. They were taken to the Atlantic County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was also notified of the arrest.

Grazez had already been deported twice from the United States, McMenamin said.

Holland was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where he was treated for lacerations to the ear, face and head and then released, McMenamin said.

"Grazez had already been deported twice from the United States, McMenamin said. " Three strikes = Max penalty!

These "people" just get more and more brazen in their defiance. I can't give our LE officers enough credit, and at the same time I think to myself these cops are putting their LIFE on the line... are the politicians EVER going to wake up?

Illegal aliens are COWARDS. Isnt that just like them to use BELT BUCKLES so that the officer would suffer as much damage as they could possibly cause. My guess is that those 2 animals planned on FLEEING the scence ater they beat up the cop. Probably to Mexico.
