Illegal resident faces deportation after shoplifting arrest
Illegal resident faces deportation after shoplifting arrest
MOUNT POCONO – A man picked up for stealing DVDs from the Mount Pocono Wal-Mart turned out to be a Mexican national residing here without a passport. Geovany Martinez, 27, who listed a Tobyhanna address, will be handed over to immigration authorities, for deportation back to Mexico.
Police were notified by security personnel at Wal-Mart, after Martinez allegedly concealed five DVD’s, worth about $100.
Martinez is in the Monroe County jail, pending transfer to immigration authorities
