Your NewsChannel 3 want to know. Should an illegal immigrant be deported if they are convicted of any crime? Send us Your 3 Cents.

On Monday, the man Virginia Beach police charged in a fatal accident over the weekend made his first appearance in court. He used an interpreter since he speaks little English. There may be even more problems for Ramos. He told the judge he was in this country illegally.

The accident happened late Friday night at the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Kings Grant Road. Police say 22-year-old Alfredo Ramos slammed into the back of the car with two Virginia Beach girls inside. Both girls were killed.

The crash took the life of 17-year-old Allison Kunhardt of First Colonial High School and 16-year-old Tessa Tranchant of Kellam High School.

Ramos is in the Virginia Beach jail without bond and charged with two counts aggravated mansalughter as a result of driving under the influence. Alfredo Ramos told a judge this morning he is in this country illegally.

Dylan Tranchant, the brother of Tessa Tranchant, says he was planning to spend more time with his family since coming home from the military and never thought he would be saying goodbye to his sister so soon.

According to court records, Alfredo has a criminal history, all misdemeanors. In October 2006, Ramos was charged with drunk in public. In November 2007, he was charged with driving without a license, identity theft, no seat belt, and no insurance. In January 2007, he was charged with pubic swearing and intoxication.

I've frequently maintained that they have to serve their sentence before they're deported. The problem is, like in the recent copy of my letter that I sent to deposed US Attorney Charlton of Arizona, that they don't charge people with the crime they committed (even) before they deport them. We all know that they return right away after they've been deported. In my letter, I was addressing a group of illegal aliens who lit a forest fire and where detained and never arrested and shipped back to Mexico. A US citizen committing the same offence is threatened with their first born child along with all the other penalties. A Mexican alien is given a total pass.

Yes, they should serve time before they're deported, or there's absolutely no deterrent.
Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...

I would love to have them serve their time, but that puts a bigger burden on the taxpayer. So, I am torn on this issue. If there sentences were STRICT, HARD LABOR and NO BENEFITS to lessen the burden of the American taxpayers, then I wouldn't have a problem with that.

As far as deporting, yep, they just shoot right back over our wide open borders because of politically correct goons.

I can't say it enough as to how glad I am that I found this site!

I joined another group a while back and it is nothing like this one, NOTHING!

Yeah, you could send them to the rock pile like the days of old. At least the cost of concrete would drop as the aggregate would be cheaply made.

Yea, 6 months on the rockpile before deporting them. That way, they know what's in for them if they come back.

I say give them a maximum sentence of 'hard' time. Make them break hugh boulders into pebbles from day break to sunset. Then AFTER completing their sentence, deport them with the promise of sending them back to prison if they ever try to enter the country again.
