    The number of foreigners granted permanent residence in 2010 was the highest since the Korean War but can continue to grow only as long as necessary steps are taken to crack down on those who are abusing the system, Jason Kenney told a press conference in Toronto Sunday.

    “We will not stand by while our immigration system is abused by those seeking to jump the immigration queue and who pay human smugglers to come here illegally,â€

    Bug off you illegal huggers!! My close friend married a Canadian over 6 months ago and she has yet to receive permission to immigrate. Her house is packed and she's working a crap job just waiting to join her husband.
