    ILLEGALS & Water in California??

Southern California faces water supply cut
    By Los Angeles Times

LOS ANGELES — Responding to the state's worsening water shortage, the Metropolitan Water District on Monday announced that it would cut water supplies to Southern California agriculture by 30 percent and that local residents can expect their bills to rise by 10 percent or more.

The moves come as Southern California is facing both a cut in water supplies from Northern California and is dealing with a major drought locally.

MWD General Manager Jeffrey Kightlinger said that if the record dry spell continues into this winter, local agencies would have to consider mandatory rationing.

The fate of an endangered fish in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta is expected to lead to a federal court-imposed cutback of almost 30 percent on water supplies to Southern California, and the Colorado River is showing the effects of eight years of drought.

Southern California has entered a phase, Kightlinger said, in which — barring major fixes and extraordinary conservation — water will be in short supply 70 percent of the time.

We would have plenty of resources if we weren't supporting all these people who don't belong here. It's getting seriously overcrowded here, and one of these days we're gonna bust at the seams.

It's time for the fence-sitting environmentalists (with respect to mass legal immigration and illegal immigration) to take a stand: do you continue to sit idly by as America's population growth climbs - adding over 1.5 million people into the world's most intensely consuming society, or, can you dare to speak out and risk breaking the PC (politically correct) mantra that accepts the proposition unquestioningly, that allowing in more 'immigrants' equates singularly with greater diversity, and has no 'down' side...(?)

The university educated environmental science/earth science folks are well-schooled in the relationship of population to resources, and that the carrying capacity of the land/water in our most advanced and consuming societies is well beyond what is sustainable. Where are your voices???

Right. The water supply keeps dropping and the population keeps rising. And still LA says, "COME ON IN".

California is CONSTANTLY wanting federal dollars.......TAXPAYER dollars. Soon they will wanting us to finance dozens of plants to use ocean water!

That is why they want the ILLEGALS counted in the 2010 census........so they can get more congressional members.

GET RID OF THE ILLEGALS and 90% of your problems would go with them.

Most of the water ScCal gets comes from the Colorado river which gets most of it's water from the snow melt in the Rockies. Snow fall as been down greatly these last few years in fact many of the lakes up there are down so low that you can walk out where there used to be fifty feet of water.
Where I live in SoCal we only recieved 7.5 inches of rain last winter.
While it's true that more people will use more water we still need more snow and rain!
