Los Angeles: Antonovich Releases January Illegal Immigrant N
Antonovich Releases January Illegal Immigrant Numbers
Monday, 17 March 2008
Social services cost LA County over $36 million.
New statistics from the Department of Public Social Services reveal that illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $36 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in January 2008, announced Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
Twenty five percent of the all welfare and food stamps benefits are going directly to the children of illegal aliens. Illegals collected over $19 million in welfare assistance for January 2008 and over $16 million in monthly food stamp allocations, for a projected annual cost of $420 million.

I don't understand why people are not SCREAMING more in LA! Surely the Governor has seen these numbers--yet his answer is to cut out libraries and pink slip teachers in the state! I am really starting to hear about so many teachers who received pink slips. They are just crushed. Instead of all this taxpayer money going to our citizens and our libraries, police and firefighers and schools, it is poured down a bottomless pit. How bad does it have to get before Californians speak up?!

Prop 187 was likely the last scream.

Its absolutely astonishing that this kind of money is being spent on people who are here in violation of Federal Law. Instead of eliminating the illegal invaders, our illegal loving governor hands thousands of teachers pink slips while the illegal invaders continue to receive services, including free educations.
This state is in a fiscal emergencey and our governor, along with several anchor babies and pro-illegal sympathizers at various levels of county and state leadership continue to protect the illegal invader from harm.
To continue to ignore a problem of this magnitude while scapegoating teachers and other American Citizens is at the least an indication of incompetence and at the worst outright discrimination in favor of a specific group that has no right to be here.
Many of these teachers have been the most vocal in protecting the illegal invader and their so called right to an education. I would bet that many of them, if they are honest, would have a different opinion now.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I was in college in L.A. when Prop 187 was coming around. My illegal-supporting Mexican-American roommate went out with her Mexican flag to protest in the streets. She was probably an anchor baby for all I know.
Don't know how she afforded her education, as my college was an expensive private school. Did someone give her a scholarship, while I couldn't get ANY kind of financial support. Thank goodness my parents business was doing halfway decently at the time to help me out (except for the last semester, where I almost had to drop out due to lack of funds).
Even then, waaay before I was educated in this (what was it, 1994, 1995?), I had strong feelings about the illegal alien children NOT being allowed to get an education.
Guess that was just the beginning of my current feelings. But back then I was totally naive about it all. Today I'm older and much wiser!

Thank God for my county supervisor, Mike Antonovich. Believe it or not, there are still a few "sane" politicians living in LA County. Too bad they're in the minority.
In our high school district, they haven't had to give teachers pink slips, but they're cutting back on administrative personnel. Also, in the elementary school districts no pink slips yet.
The way those Commies in Sacramento spend our hard-earned tax money is nothing short of criminal. I'm crossing my fingers that some level-headed individuals replace the 42 Senators/Assembly people when they get booted out in the next couple of years due to term limits.
