Hiring ILLEGALS Cost Restaurant Bankruptcy and Forfeitures
Acambaro case holds potential to pit 2 courts
    MARK MINTON

Immigration authorities aren’t the only ones eyeing the assets of Acambaro Mexican restaurants in the aftermath of a raid that rounded up 19 illegal aliens, jailed their employers and froze $ 3 million in property.

Days after the Dec. 10 raid, the Northwest Arkansas restaurant chain filed for bankruptcy protection. Acambaro listed assets of $ 4. 2 million and liabilities of $ 3. 2 million.

The Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing sets up a potential legal tug-of-war: Even as Acambaro continues operating under the shelter of bankruptcy, federal prosecutors have frozen bank accounts and moved to seize key company properties, including most Acambaro locations in Northwest Arkansas.

She said the government’s intention in the forfeiture case is to sell the properties, use the money to pay creditors and distribute remaining forfeiture funds to local governments for police operations.
BRILLIANT! Hope this catches on nationwide!

when businesses hire illegals they are stealing money from every American taxpayer (through taxes paid for social services, schooling, health care.. etc for their illegal slave labor) their property should be seized and the money given back to the tax payer.

Acambaro locations were able to reopen with replacement employees and food the company had on hand

Jeez, how did they find American workers willing to do the jobs only IA's will do?

And let that be a lesson to all of these other criminal business owners and their equally criminal attorneys who think they are so much smarter and slicker than everybody else.

I also don't believe for a minute that they were able to re-open with food on hand and able to find that many legal workers that quickly.

More like they had a contingency plan in place "just in case" with plenty of money hidden somewhere else under someone else's name and have ties to smugglers which provide them a never end of stream of labor. I've seen that before with a certain Chinese restaurant in our area.

People like that have absolutely no intention of being caught with their pants down and losing everything so have prepared well in advance.
