Thread: Immigrant Vets Face Deportation Despite Service

My daughter wanted to go in the military in 2008 and she was told you had to have a greencard and after you passed basic training and after a period of time possibly one year then you get your citizenship. We both heard it from the Army, the Navy, and Marines. As for crimes committed by non citizens why commit them in the first place.

I think they are talking about non-citizens who have green cards . It is my understanding if a immigrant breaks our laws they can be deported even after they have become citizens.

It is only natural born citizens who can never be deported for crimes .

If a Vet breaks a serious law then they must be held accountable like everyone else. imo

You are correct.

Deport them! Vet or not. You commit one of those crimes and are found guilty then good riddance. What ever you did our our country, you undid all your good deeds by becoming a criminal and preying on Americans. Bye and "don't let the border gate hit ya" on the way out.
