IT'S THE VOTE, Professor! And that is citizenship.

This is the complete explanation for why the paper was written and for what the paper advocates.

They say giving them licenses is a matter of public safety. They say it is because they will then have to learn to drive correctly.

Now this presumes some things. It presumes the illegals are not of good enough character to want to learn to drive safely and protect others on the road - and it presumes they can't possibly learn how to drive other than from some hired instructor.

If they were all such wonderful, kind, generous, caring, law abiding, high moral character, with family values oozing from every pore - wouldn't they take it upon themselves to learn to drive correctly and safely before they made a killing machine of themselves?

The next time we hear this 'it's a matter of public safety' regarding driver's licenses - maybe we should ask loudly,

"Are you saying these people are deliberately driving when they don't know how and that they are deliberately putting everyone on the road at risk?"
