Immigration activists demand answers from Mexican Consulate
Immigration activists demand answers from
Mexican Consulate
04:34 PM CDT on Thursday, July 10, 2008
KHOU.com staff report
HOUSTON -- Some immigration activists are demanding answers after they said the Mexican Consulate failed to provide any assistance to nationals during a massive immigration raid at a Houston company.
It all has to do with 160 workers who were detained during a raid on Action Rags.
Most of the people taken into custody were Mexican nationals.
On Thursday, a group of protestors was collecting signatures for a petition to the Mexican Consulate in Houston.
They say consulate officials were not at the raid, but officials from other countries were.
They also claim after the raid the consulate provided little to no assistance.

Maybe because they don't like you? Maybe because they can't keep up with the swarm? Keep demanding until they close up and go back to Mexico!
