McCain loses an SC county chair over immigration


Despite his best case for the immigration compromise -- and he made a good one at the debate the other night -- the unalterable fact is that the issue is right now a major problem for the McCain campaign.

To wit, one of the first tangible signs of the damage it's doing, as supplied by Romney's camp:

Please consider this my resignation as Aiken County chair for McCain. I am too far from him on the Amnesty Bill. I was hopeful that he could keep his nose clean this time around, but he can’t read the pulse of the American citizens.

Please pass my regrets on to Henry McMaster.

I can't see McCain recovering with his especially unpopular alliance with Kennedy and the masters of the universe grand compromisers on illegal immigration. I think he' toast.

I think you are right. McCain is done! I hope Lindsay Graham (another Republican sellout) is done, too. I saw him on the YOU Tube video when he was telling his (Ra Ra) LaZara friends that "We will tell the bigots to shut up" meaning us, and I wanted to punch him in the mouth!

I love the "Masters of the Universe", that was from Ron Paul wasn't it.
