    Centralia man pleads guilty to cockfighting charge
    By The Associated Press

    CHEHALIS — A Centralia man arrested at a cock fight last month has pleaded guilty to promoting animal fighting.

    The 38-year-old man, Roberto Trejo-Magdallenis, agreed to plead guilty Monday in return for prosecutors dropping animal cruelty charges.

    He was sentenced to 60-days in jail. The native of Mexico could face deportation on his release because of a past conviction for possessing a firearm without a permit.

    His lawyer, Ken Johnson, says he is a legal resident who has lived in the Centralia area more than 10 years and is married with four children and works as a logger.

    He should have been deported when convicted of possessing a firearm without a permit. Believe that is a felony.

    Firearm with out a permit . These double standards are like "Un-Constitutional". Them Judges need a refresher maybe ? or is it the local DA ? I just know citizens don't get that slack

    He's a low-grade piece of CRAP and should be right beside Michael Vick!!! I hope the prisioners give him a nice little welcome party.....

    Any torture to animals should get stiff fine.
    Check his wife and kids, because he's most likely beating them also
