BILBRAY LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA ON JOB CREATION

BILBRAY LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA ON JOB CREATION AND ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

    States News Service
    December 3, 2009
    WASHINGTON, D.C.

The following information was released by the office of California Rep. Brian Bilbray:

Congressman Brian Bilbray sent the following letter to President Obama regarding job creation and illegal immigration:

    November 3, 2009

    The Honorable Barack Obama
    President of the United States
    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
    Washington D.C. 20500

    Dear President Obama,

We agree with your November 2, 2009, statement to your Economic Recovery Advisory Board that the administrations overriding focus is creating jobs, and your call for bold, innovative action to ensure additional American jobs. And we were glad to hear you say [I]f somebody can show me a strategy that's going to work, then we are happy to consider it. We write to suggest just such a strategy.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) worksite enforcement actions save and create jobs for Americans and legal workers if the illegal immigrant workers are detained and deported.

Each time ICE conducts a worksite enforcement action, there is an opportunity to ensure that jobs previously held by illegal immigrants are opened to legal workers.

American jobs continue to disappear at a staggering rate, and 15.1 million Americans are now out of work. At the same time, according to the most recent estimates from the Pew Hispanic Center, seven million jobs are held by illegal immigrants. Any action your administration takes to prevent illegal immigrants from getting jobs will help ensure that an American has a job. Worksite enforcement actions are the most effective way to do so.

    Sincerely,

    Brian Bilbray, Member of Congress

Good letter. But we really need to do more to fix the jobs problem because while illegal immigration is responsible for I think at least 12 million lost American Jobs, free trade treason is responsible for at least 32 million lost jobs. And here is how that number is arrived at:

    1. We had a trade deficit in 2008 of -$840 billion in manufactured goods. if 25% of the cost of those purchases was work force costs, then that free trade deficit at an average wage/salary of $40,000 per worker, means there were 5,250,000 manufacturing jobs lost to the trade deficits of free trade treason.

    2. In the US, for every 1 manufacturing job created or lost, there are 5 other jobs in other manufacturing companies and other parts of our economy that fed off that manufacturing employment and those manufacturing operations. So we actually lost 6 x 5,250,000 jobs for a total of 31,250,000 American Jobs because of free trade treason.

    3. When you add the jobs lost to both illegal immigration and free trade treason, the US is short over 40 million good jobs and $840 billion in private sector revenues and money supply every single year.

    4. When you have more workers than jobs, the people who have jobs lose wages and salaries because of wage/salary deflation.

    5. This is why we have over 62 million people under the age of 65 on government funded health care programs like MediCaid and SCHIP, many of whom are also on other types of poverty support programs that are bankrupting the US treasury and soaring national debt to levels our country will never be able to repay if we stay on the current course. The cost of these poverty programs is well over $600 billion a year for federal and state budgets. There are other programs that cost taxpayers at the county and municipal level as well, not to mention the cost of our charity programs through the 501 C 3 organizations.

    6. We lose another $300 billion in pivate sector enterprise to the foreign controlled illegal drug trade.

    7. We lose $400 billion a year to imports on foreign oil which are almost 50% of our foreign trade deficits.

There are 5 Steps we need to take to fix our country. I call them Judy's 5 Point Plan to Cure Our Country.

They're all inter-locked, so we need them all and we need them now.

There are millions of Americans who have identified the problems and are working on all of these, many on more than one issue. I think it's crucial that Americans Unite behind all of them because to fix just one without the others just gives our enemies and opponents the opportunity to revamp and find a new route to continue the economic destruction of the United States.

The first two are well on their way and they just need a united message sent forth to Congress, because the Save Act, HR 3308 has 101 sponsors and co-sponsors, the majority of them Republican, almost 2 to 1, when we need all the Republicans and many more Democrats supporting this bi-partisan legislation; and the FairTax, HR 25 has 59 sponsors and co-sponsors, 58 Republicans and 1 dear Democrat, when we need all the Republicans and of course many more Democrats supporting this bi-partisan tax proposal.

So Wake Up Dems! Get busy and call your Congrescritters to get them to sign up and support the Save Act and the FairTax. With the Save Act and an expansion of the 287 (g) program as well as a commitment by local and state law enforcement to use their authority under existing USC Title 8, Chapter 12 .... Section 1324 ... to arrest and deport illegal aliens ... we are soon on our way to achieving our goal if we defeat amnesty. With the FairTax, our companies can rejuvenate, our workers will have almost 41% more net expendable income to help our companies rejuvenate, and many of those companies who fled our country to escape corporate income taxes will come flocking home.

But we must also protect our trade and while our enemies have tried to turn protectionism into a dirty word, protectionism is in fact a principle of the Republican Party and one it has fought for since the day our party was formed. Today they call it "FairTrade". But "FairTrade" isn't quite enough. We need protectionism, protected trade policies, to manage our foreign trade payments so that they are in balance or in surplus on a regular consistent basis. Most people who support "free trade" in concept confuse it with the term "free market", they are very different. Free market is how we conduct business within our borders. Free trade is when we give our market away to other countries. Free trade is a misnomer because there isn't anything "free" about it, it has cost us our entire economy, over 31,250,000 jobs, and trillions of dollars of money supply over the years of its existence.

So I encourage everyone to study these steps and in addition to your other work include this plan to help our Congress and fellow Americans see that our problems are easily solved by taking 5 simple steps, 2 of which are already in Congress ready to be voted on, passed and signed into law, the Save Act and the FairTax, so the healing can begin immediately while we address the other 3 immediately thereafter.

Thank you so much, and you're most welcome, American-ized. Feel free to copy anything I post and spread the word! There are quite a few people who know it as "Judy's 5 Point Plan To Cure Our Economy" from other sites where I first blogged it. So when they see it picking up momentum that will encourage them as well.

I think the people of ALIPAC have the capacity to unite our entire country to save itself, I really do. So, lets go do it!
