Immigration enforcement group endorses Mass. Republican

Immigration enforcement group endorses Mass. Republican

Chad Groening - OneNewsNow - 1/18/2010 6:20:00 AMBookmark and Share

A pro-enforcement immigration political action committee is endorsing the Republican candidate in Tuesday's special election that will determine the permanent successor of Ted Kennedy in the U.S. Senate.

Martha Coakley (D-Massachusetts)State Sen. Scott Brown (Massachusetts)President Barack Obama is calling on his fellow Democrats to "put on their walking shoes" and help Martha Coakley succeed Kennedy in the Massachusetts Senate race. Republican Scott Brown has been gaining momentum heading into Tuesday's vote as shown in a recent Suffolk University/News7 survey where Brown stretches ahead of Coakley by four points.

A Republican Senate victory in blue Massachusetts would be a historic upset and could even reverberate its way to the White House. One Massachusetts Democrat in the U.S. House has gone so far to say that if Brown wins, the president's overhaul of healthcare is dead. That is why Obama is pulling out all the stops to try and preserve the pivotal 60th Democratic Senate vote needed to pass that overhaul.

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), says healthcare is not the only reason Brown is surging.

William Gheen (ALIPAC)"Martha Coakley has stated her support for the Obama comprehensive immigration reform amnesty legislation, whereas Scott Brown has made illegal immigration an issue on his campaign," Gheen explains. "He's placed it on his website that he is against any form of amnesty [and] that he's against benefits for illegal immigrants. Plus, as a state senator in Massachusetts, he disagreed fervently with Governor Deval Patrick for licenses and in-state tuition for illegal aliens. So we have a bit of a legislative history on Scott Brown as well."

As a result of his position on these issues, the ALIPAC president reports that his organization has officially endorsed Brown.

Since Kennedy's death this summer, the Senate seat has been filled on an interim basis by Paul G. Kirk. President Obama was to campaign for Coakley over the weekend in the Bay State.

At the beginning of his Senate campaign Scott Brown was a McCain Kennedy supporter. He has since switched position and is in favor of enforcement including existing illegal aliens.

Who was it that actually spoke directly in person with Brown about the immigration issue on behalf of an organization with 15000 voters as members in Massachusetts. Who told hiom about NumbersUSA and who gave him a copy of the Immigration papers of Fredo Arias-King . Who confronted Mitt Romney in Brown's presence about the failure of people with Mexican family ties to promote Mexican economic development and invest in job creation in Mexico. Who put Scott Brown in touch with Arnold Schwarzenegers Latino advisor who has told Brown that the majority of illegal aliens should leave.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Who are you talking about Richard? And where is your evidence that Scott Brown previously supported McCain Kennedy? We did not see any information such as that when we were researching him. Please provide us with your source.

It's funny, because Massachusetts keeps on changing the law in an attempt to keep both of their US Senators Democrats.

Before 2004, if a US Senator from Massachusetts vacated his Senate seat, the Governor would appoint a replacement for him until the next regular Congressional election. But the largely Democrat State Legislature felt the need to change this law in 2004, when John Kerry, the "other" US Senator from Massachusetts, was running for President. Republican Mitt Romney was the Governor of Massachusetts back then. If by chance Kerry won the Presidency, Romney would have appointed a Republican to fill Kerry's Senate seat. The State Legislature probably could not stand the thought of this, and so the State Legislature took away the powers of the Governor! No more temporary appointment.

The new law stood like this until August 2009, when Ted Kennedy died due to brain cancer. The following month, the Massachusetts State Legislature changed this 2004 law back to the way it was originally! They simply wanted a Democrat to hold on to this US Senate seat, and they wanted him to be seated right away, rather than waiting a few months for the special Senate election. This way, they got to keep their "filibuster proof" majority of 60 votes in the US Senate. Because of this, we're in danger of having ObamaCare healthcare be the law of the land, which would still leave millions of Americans uninsured, would temporarily raise our health insurance premiums, and might lead America into Socialism.

This is why Senate Majority leader Harry Reid has been frantic in trying to get ObamaCare passed into law before the special Senate election in Massachusetts. He doesn't want to lose his 60th vote. Harry Reid is frantic, even though ObamaCare wouldn't take effect in at least 5 years.

But electing Scott Brown would allow a critical filibuster of the unconstitutional ObamaCare.

    Deport Illegal Aliens

Brown will win. We have to remove all Democrats from the White House and the US Congress. And remove all illegal aliens.
