Immigration law protest planned in Gainesville
Immigration law protest planned in Gainesville
GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- Several groups opposed to Georgia's new
immigration law are planning a rally in downtown Gainesville.
The rally is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday against what organizers describe as "anti-immigrant" legislation.
Sponsors of the protest include the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials, Habersham Families Helping Families, Students for a Progressive Society of Gainesville, North Georgia Immigrant Justice, the Democratic Party of Habersham County and several churches.
Georgia's law, signed recently by Gov. Nathan Deal, has some
provisions that echo those in a law enacted last year in Arizona.

I hate to say it, but Americans are far too complacent to be pro-active. Isn't it a kick in the butt to think that watching an episode of "Dancing With the Stars" is more important than fighting for your own Country? Americans better get it together and take a stand loud and proud! We're going to be the ones telling our future generations why their Country was overtaken by government and illegal aliens because we LET it happen!!
