    Expert:Border policy keeps many migrants here who want to leave

    Immigration policy should allow some Mexican migrant workers to come and go from the United States, and offer others a way to stay and become legal U.S. citizens, two immigration scholars said yesterday.

    NO -- the reason we haven't stopped illegal immigration is because there hasn't been the political will from the elites to enforce immigration laws on a consistent, continued basis, who have also allowed the border to remain wide open. The recent show raids are just that, show raids. The professor should know this; this is 101 freshman level stuff.

    I hope there were opposing positions offered to rebut this OBL propaganda.

    Please, is this guy for real? The problem wasn't created overnight and it won't be fixed overnight! Getting a handle on our illegal immigration problem is probably going to take years. Interior enforcement, sanctions against employers (stiff ones), and tightened border security will work if given the chance.
